A great interest shown by the residents of Vladimirovac for all aspects of the Čibuk 1 Project was expressed at the last in the series of presentations dedicated to the construction of temporary and permanent access roads and passages through the future wind park. During a two-hour meeting with the representatives of Continental Wind Serbia, the owners of plots which will be acquitted for the aforementioned purposes as well as other inhabitants got a detailed information considering both tempo and technical aspects of the road construction. A special accent was placed on the legal issues and procedures which will be applied to enable the owners to realize their rights on compensations for the temporary acquisition of plots.
The interests of the residents of Vladimirovac surpassed, actually, their individual interests. They were especially interested where the complete route would lead to when the CWS reconstruct the existing roads and construct the new ones, which will be left to the inhabitants for permanent use. The residents also showed interest for technical and mechanical aspects of windmills and the way they operate. They also had the opportunity to see how construction begins from the so-called out-dimensional transit of components for towers and turbines to construction of foundations and erection of components. This open inter-active debate had a multimedia character. Maps, slides and virtual displays of the road routes and construction of wind-park, from the phase of transit of components of windmill to its erection on the land, helped to improve understanding of this complex project which interests not only the owners of lands but also all inhabitants of Dolovo, Mramorak, Vladimirovac and their closest neighborhood.

Reasons for direct meetings, presentations and panels were different in the previous years. At the beginning it was necessary to explain from the very start what is actually a wind park, while today on the agenda are quite specific information about one phase of its construction.
All direct meetings of the CWS representatives with the residents serve to the company’s aim to make the project completely transparent and through its development to show the company’s consideration for interests and needs of the local communities. The connection of CWS with the local communities is more comprehensive then it is just a need to offer information on the specific occasion. This long-term connection is best illustrated by the years-long donations to the “Programs for support of the social initiative in the local communities of Mramorak, Dolovo and Vladimirovac.” By financing their realization, CWS support the cultural, social and sport activities, associations, NGO-s, education institutions and sports clubs in these places. Such cooperation with the residents has yielded excellent results so that today, after several years, the list of supported projects is very long and diverse. Direct meetings with the residents of Mramorak, Dolovo and Vladimirovac will continue in the course of next two months. These future panels will be also open and inter-active and their aim will be to provide full information to inhabitants on all activities in the development of the Čibuk 1 Project.
